Official establishment of Asian Institute of Built Environment (AIBE).
AIBE was initially started as a professional training center for professionals in the construction industry.1st Oct 2010
AIBE took over the operation of Cityedu Education Centre.AIBE was appointed as the local operator of BEng(Hons) Building Services and Sustainable Engineering, MSc Building Services Engineering and BA(Hons) Global Business awarded by University of Central Lancashire (UCLan). (Expired in March 2014)
From 2010-2011
A series of continuing professional development (CPD) courses was organized for lift and escalator engineering, lighting technology, barrier free access etc.The CPD courses for lift and escalator engineering candidates were taught by retired senior engineer(s) of the lift and escalator legislation enforcement division. The candidates needed to attend written examination and professional interview to get the license.
The 1st to 6th round CPD courses collaborated with the Society of Operations Engineers (SOE) to tailor-made and delivered 30-hr CPD courses with examination for fulfilling requirements of application for Chartered Environmentalists (224 candidates attended and completed the course)
AIBE Senate was set up.

Ir Dr Albert So and AIBE invented a bi-directional video conferencing system, which may be the first one being ever used
in Hong Kong. It is important in the history of development of AIBE.The franchise of FdA Housing was granted by Leeds Metropolitan University(renamed as Leeds Beckett University(LBU) in Sep 2014).
1st year of recruitment of students to the three LMU courses.The 1st Cohort (1st intake) ofBSc BSE, BA HS & MSc FM students was registered to LMU.
December 2013:Courses FdA HOU + BA HS obtained accreditation from The Hong KongInstitute of Housing(Expired on 4th Dec 2016)

The Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) forHigher Education from UK paid visit to AIBE to review the UK Transnational Education (TNE) in Hong Kong. Positive comments were given to both LBU and AIBE. Collaboration with University of Salford to recruit MSc Quantity Surveying and MScQuantity Surveying (Mechanical andElectrical) students.June 2018
